Description
We had a request from some of our students to let them use their timetable on Moodle (via userweek.php) as a "student planner", allowing them to enter their own activities (meetings, clubs etc) in free slots on their timetables. These would be fairly ad hoc and not linked to a room booking.
This issue is more of a reminder to me to get round to doing it, but if someone else wants to work on it before I get the chance - feel free!

This might be easier to do by integrating with the calendar, including User Events for the current user in the relevant spot on the timetable.
A conversion from times to periods would be necessary, though.
