Hi Gordon,
I'm assigning this to you now, it's just a tracker issue for upgrading the hotpot module to make use of the new navigation in Moodle 2.0.
I have already added a couple of skeleton functions in lib.php and removed the update this module buttons as per MDL-21169.
Let me know if you have any question.
