 Description  « Hide
I am able to create a site event but not a course event. Instead of a new event I get the message "There are no events this day."
It doesn't matter if I apply a duration or not.
I am both site administrator and teacher in (some of) the courses
Just upgraded from 1.6.5 to 1.8.1+

Now after leaving the course and come back the events I tried to add is there, and there is as many of them as my attempts.

It's not that simple.
Looking at the course front site I can see the events, but clicking into the calendar, eg. clicking on the month, I can not

I just upgraded from moodle 1.7.2 to moodle 1.8.2...

As I done this all my course events as a global admin disappeared...

On moodle.org->calendar there were some problems mentioned, which I think are related to this topic:

Can not create course events
----------------------------------------
In my Moodle 1.8.1+ I can not create course events. I have checked the permissions, they should be right. I have the button "course events" while creating one. I have also tried the role as trainer, course creator. I have checked the page where I can define the user roles - everything allright.
Everything else with the calender works fine, e. g. general or personal events.

I'm logged in as (global) administrator and I can create user or site events but not course events. Based on Martins experiences I created a new test course but I still can't create course events. I've checked that the event is after the start of the course. Still no go. I've added myself explicitly as an administrator to the test course but still no go.

After updating from 1.7 to 1.8 all course events disappear in my (global admin) calendar on the first site.
Global und user events are shown correctly.

ical course events do not show up
----------------------------------------------
In an ical export the course events do not show up in any calendars I try. User events do show up, so I'm going on the assumption that it's something to do with the calendar, and not what I'm doing.
I tried some stuff and apparently it's only a problem for global admins.

Hmmm...
If I activate the capability moodle/site:doanything all the course events disappear for e.g. trainers on the start site.

Just attempted to access /my as admin and got this message:

Fatal error: Class name must be a valid object or a string in /home/danskonl/public_html/intra/lib/pagelib.php on line 67

IMHO this is a dupe of mdl-10353 (but I'm not sure).

just voted for this issue, looks like calendar is really buggy right now as lack of timing bug fixes and so on. ;(

Nicolas I agree with you I think it's a dupe of MDL-10353
