I´we downloaded "http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=74975" file, installed it, at it work just fine!!

Now here is the problem. I translated lang file into portuguese and special caracters lice çâé etc. show up as ????
This shows only in search part of the page. Header ad footer of the page do not have this problem.
When i go and manualy change in my firefox from utf-8 to US-ASCII it inverts the problem!!! Header and footer displays ??? and search çãé.
Any ideas?
