Description
It would be really useful to have some indication of which pages of question(s) have been attempted and which hasn't.
My scenario is students hunting around for the easy questions that they can do first (typically in a timed quiz), but with many pages (particularly if it's one question per page) they will not remember which they have attempted.
I guess this could be done in theme using visited links, but it might be nicer if the visited pages could be marked or given a css class explicitly.

This, and more, is already done in the OU quiz navigation work. The problem is that the code for that is a bit of a mess - it took I while to write as we worked things out - so it needs to be cleaned up before it can be merged into core. Currently, we hope to have time to put this core in November/December time, so as part of Moodle 2.0.
