Description
The "Display a directory" resource type name is not at all friendly to "front end" users. The term "directory" is (AFAIK) principally used in a server context for Unix/Linux set ups. I suspect most teachers etc. are more familiar with the term "folder". Importantly the term "folder" is the one used in the course files area - using an alternative term to refer to folders doesn't make much sense.
Suggestion:
Change the references to this resource to;
"Display a folder" or (probably better) "Display folder contents"

Assigning this to more English knowledgeable people
It might be an American/UK/Australian English matter.
I think the word 'folder' is introduced by Microsoft. Mac seems to use 'folder' too. Ubuntu seems to mix directory and folder. So I think you have a point that a teacher is more familiar with folder then with directory.
I assign this to Martin to decide what should be done.
