Statistics just don't work

Description

I have a sites with fairly low usage, all core Moodle. Server in UK time zone. Statistics was enabled quite some time ago. Cronjobs are running and no expiry time has been set for processing.

Stats never produce any... stats.

I'm aware there were issues and have looked at all the resolved issues.

Are there specific server dependencies to get this working?

I have clients who report similar lack of stats being generated.

Assuming the data is generated correctly (even if it's slow, see MDL-13092) then the stats should definitely be displaying OK. I'm not seeing any PHP errors, perhaps it's a simple SQL error. Petr?

Hi. Same problem here since last november. Daily stats are still ok but weekly and monthly stats stopped working since 1.8.2 or 1.8.3 update at that date. I need stats to show how much Moodle is used at our school... Need some data or temporary access to our site ?

At Idaho State University we also had a similar issue with stats at about the same time frame of November.

We too have experienced similar problems. We have a couple long standing sites that are working fine, while a couple new sites we set up in November for which we cannot get stats to work correctly. All sites are running on the same server. Each are now running 1.8.4+

I'm a bit stuck here, I don't have site running 1.9 dev that I can do a meaningful test on. Hopefully others will have.
