Custom corners looks strange on forum page

Description

On the main page of a forum (for example mod/forum/view.php?f=1) there are two unwanted slim boxes spanning across the whole screen leading to a very strange appearance, see attached screenshot.

This issue should be resolved by the last MDL-12221 changes.
