Description

two users submit assignment - only one of them is visible in recent activity block

Reopening. We have assignment_showrecentsubmissions = yes, but still the students can only see their own submission dates in the Full report of recent activity.

Changing the Assignment module group setting didn't make any difference.

Using a recent Moodle 1.9.2+.

Hi Samuli,

I've just tested this with the latest 1.9.2+ in a course with no groups and found assignment_showrecentsubmissions = yes to work exactly as expected i.e. students can see other students' recent submissions in the full report of recent activity (and also in the recent activity block).

Please could you provide more details of how to recreate your problem.

I added the "Advanced uploading of files" type of an assignment. Then, with two student accounts, submitted the assignment. Now in the recent activity block the student sees both the submissions, but in the full report just his/her own. I'll try to recreate with a fresh new vanilla Moodle 1.9.2+ also.

Backup+Restore to a new Moodle site makes the submissions visible again. Arf... have to dig deeper.

Seems like this has been very recently fixed. On a version (1.9.2+) from 27.8. it's as I described, but with a version from today it works. Sweet. Well, we get this in the next upgrade round (lot's of customizations, so I'm not upgrading on a weekly basis...)

Oops - looks like I should have searched tracker too!
Still, it looks like there's a problem. I notice I get the problem of students being skipped from results with classes that have groups
