New workshop doesn't create grade item in gradebook

Description

Creating a new workshop activity doesn't generate a grade_item in the gradebook, even though it is set up to be graded.

the grading in workshop was not converted to use new workshop yet, grades must be refreshed manually from edit categories and items

any volunteers?

We are upgrading to moodle 19 and we need this functionality. I've read the Development:Grades doc and i'm working on it for the workshop module and other modules that our university teachers usually use.

We've tried this fix and it works here as well, once you click "Synchronise legacy grades".

This may work, but the workshop module still doesn't send its grades to the gradebook, so you need to enter them manually. Maybe we can close this issue and open another one for the proper passing of grades, but it will need to be handled by the workshop module development lead.

There are no more Workshop fixes planned in stable branch. The new workshop implementation is progressing nicely in HEAD

We must quickly decide if we will try to fix the problem with 1.9 workshop not pushing grades into gradebook or if we will rely on manually inserted grades only before the migration to 2.0.

"Synchronise legacy grades" now creates the missing grade items and fetches the grades from workshops. Fixed in CVS.

We have the same trouble with Journals, at version 1.9.6.
Do you know if the "Synchronise legacy grades" had worked with Journals in this version? We pushed this botton and although the grades of the journals had not shown.

What CVS does mean?

Verified. The "Synchronise legacy grades" pulls workshops into the gradebook.

Hi Soporte. It appears that this issue was fixed in 1.9.7 so you will have to upgrade before the synchronise button will work with your workshops.
