Description
We upgraded to 1.8.4 and for some user profiles, a setting for forum-tracking seemed to 'reset' itself. The default was:
Sample 1:
Forum auto-subscribe: Yes, automatically subscribe me to forums
Forum tracking: No: don't keep track of posts I have seen
What we're now seeing is:
Sample 2:
Forum auto-subscribe: No, do not automatically subscribe me to forums
Forum tracking: No: don't keep track of posts I have seen
As a global program, when initially entering our students into the system (we do not allow them to self-enroll), we changed these fields to this (so the first one did not change, but the second one did in sample 2):
Sample 3:
Forum auto-subscribe: No, do not automatically subscribe me to forums
Forum tracking: Yes: keep track of posts I have seen
What we'd really like to see is these options to be controlled on a global level (rather than each student), at a minimum from a page where the admin can make these with a click of a few buttons. And specifically for our program a place that would NOT allow the user to toggle their Forum tracking to "no".
Possible?
