Description

Perhaps this is only part of the "Administration" components.

I got this error message, but the block didn't need re-programmed, it was missing from the blocks folder.

Block ... is not compatible with the current version of Moodle and needs to be updated by a programmer.

This error message should be re-worded to include "or not in the blocks folder."
Maybe "is missing" would be a good phrase to use.

Charles, thanks for your report and apologies for my delay in looking at this issue.

It seems the phrase you mention is hardcoded (admin/blocks.php line 133). Reassigning to moodle.com for someone to replace the hardcoding with a language string.

I was affected by this message today in our upgrade from 1.9.4 to 1.9.7. When the server people did our upgrade they deleted my custom blocks. I was looking around for upgraded versions of these blocks when all I needed to do was copy them back in the folder!
