'Check links' function deletes pages with non-responding links

    MOODLE_19_STABLE

Description

Set the wiki for 'no HTML' or 'safe HTML' mode.
Create a page with information including http hyperlinks that do not work.
Go to Administration - Check links

Result: after checking the links and showing which are OK and which do NOT RESPOND, Moodle automatically saves an empty version of the page. All content created disappears and it is necessary to restore the older version in order to get the content back.

According to the help files, Moodle was supposed to save a new version of the page, with the contect intact and only signaling the non-respondent links.

It's not critical since most people will just use the 'HTML only' mode - which doesn't allow the 'check links' function - but, since it's there, it should work , right?
Thank you!
