Admin: Upload Courses and Course Categories from CSV file

Description

This may be related to some of the hopes for developing a Student Information System API (http://docs.moodle.org/en/Student_Information_API) as referenced in the Roadmap for 2.0. My hope would be that we would be able to mass upload courses in a manner similar to how user accounts are created. This may facilitate setting a system when the data is in a particular SIS. The import mechanism should handle courses and course categories. In many ways, this may be much simpler to implement than the user upload.

Thanks Marc for pointing this out in the forums. I have not tested it but apparently Marc has done some testing in Moodle 1.9.

Any idea if course upload will be made available in Moodle 2.0? I've searched and posted in numerous places and can't seem to find any information. I currently am playing around with Moodle 2.0 RC1 and there does not seem to be a way to do this. Also, all the previous methods that used to work for Moodle 1.x don't seem to work for 2.0. Any information would be appreciated!!!
