Changing smilies can cause problems in rendered texts

Description

The sections "html editor" and "ajax and javascript" of Moodle 1.9 have some bug

I changed values in emoticons (html section) and add others
in section ajax and javascript I made changes too

after that, at the html areas there were only characters and code.

I went to http://demo.moodle.org/
made the same changes and the bug appears. Here are 2 snap shots, one of demo.moodle.org abd other of my site

I fixed my site returning to the default values, but I think this sections are are sensitive

and then you use html editor (I made some changes in fonts)
the bug appears

I've just found that

The only change that affect is when you eliminate () egg
and then you use html editor

I tried removing "( ) egg" .. but the html editor still works and saves correctly, both on my local sandbox and on demo.moodle.org. Maybe there was a glitch the moment you tried it (the moment the reset happened, or something..). Can you give me step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce this? Is it still happening on your side?

I eliminate the fisrt emoticons

others emoticons were set like this

If you make changes and use the editor with colors or font and then you save changes
then appears those characters

to make the sema changes . . .

I removed "( ) egg" again

then go to edit the main section

i used a background color and save

What would happen if you change the code "()" for "(e)"
I think that the code () is not only for emoticon egg
is used in the php files isn't it?
