Description
As the name describes, this is an autosave feature that should silently save the student's answers per interval. This is to protect the students attempts in case of interruptions such as power outages, etc..
Olli Savolainen made an interim solution for this one using Prototype but there are bugs encountered. Here's the link: http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=74710

We have had people writing quizzes from dial-up in remote locations, we have also had students writing quizes and final exams using the quiz module, some of these quizzes span multiple hours.
I think this would be useful if it is still plausible in the recent versions of Moodle (the forum post quoted refers to Moodle 1.6).
