Description

Journal grades are not showing in the 1.9 grade book as per http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=102154&mode=1

This is the fix from that url (2 files).

journal module was discontinued long ago, that is why full grading support was not implemented - sorry
you can use the "Synchronise legacy grades" from "Edit categories and items" gradebook plugin

The fixes from the linked URL did it for us. I'm trying to get the Online assignment to work as a better replacement for Journal, but it is still missing some UI improvements to achieve this.

There are code updates that bring the Journal code up to 1.9 standard for gradebook. I am willing to apply these to the 1.9 version and commit to core.

It seems the right thing to do considering Journal is still distributed with 1.9, no?

Hi Mike,

If you want to apply grades support to 1.9 and/or contrib I've attached the patches from contrib/plugins/mod/journal and from MOODLE_19_WEEKLY/mod/journal latest versions (27/10/2009)
