Description

Assume you have a choice activity with limits on choice answers. The choice answers are stored in the moodle database and it seems that these answers are never deleted. This causes problems when a course is reset or a student unenrols himself from a course:
When a student unenrols from the course or a trainer resets the course choice answeres are not deleted.
In the worst case you have a choice activity where the option limits are reached for every option, abd then noone can do this activity in the next semester although in the choice view nobody is shown in the results table.

HI there,

what version of Moodle are you using? - you've reported this against 1.8 -> 1.8.6

This behaviour described doesn't occur in the latest version of 1.9Stable, however MDL-12083 covers some almost related information.

thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,

we are using Moodle 1.8.6, I guess this behaviour occurs in any 1.8.x version.

I understand the "idea" of Moodle not to delete user posts and other "user action" when unenrolling a student. But with choices with limits this "keeping user data" in the course even if the user unenrols definitely leads to the bug described...
