DSpace and Fedora supports OAI-PMH protocol:

Hi,
it's true, FC provides a OAI-PMH interface but that interface is only for pulling MDs from it.
A good starting point on using the FC's REST API (full remote control/access of FC from Moodle) could be starting from some current projects on Drupal:
