I try to use Essay question as a problem. Why everybody think that solving is always a plain text?
This may be everything (Word doc with formulas, calculations in Excel, MathCad, picture for illustrating text)!
So allowing attachment is a good way for expand a scope of essay as much as possible.

Random sets of essay will be wonderful! I voted for it! ;-)

It is not the case that "everybody think that solving is always a plain text". This has been asked for before. Please search for existing feature requests before you create a new one.

(I searched for '+essay +upload' and found the duplicate immediately.)
