Description

It seems to better better if in the messenger history the latest posts are on top like forum topics. If there is a long history users have to scroll from oldest to newest in history now.

Hmm...What if the messenger history automatically jumps to the last or not yet seen postings and we don't change the order?

If there are lots of postings with an other person normally people wants to see the new ones.

I would like to cast my vote for changing the order of message posts to put the newest posts at the top. I would also like to see a way to set the message history to fewer posts, which is something we have not been able to do. That way the message box could be more easily accessible. Better yet, if the message box appeared above the history, that would be wonderful.

Here's the problem with sequentially listing. We cannot seem to set what is defined as "Recent Messages" anywhere in the admin settings. If we could set that to the past 2 messages or the past week, this would not be as big of an issue. We are new to Moodle 2, but at this point it seems that all of our messages are "recent". Some students take multiple classes in a program with the same instructor over a period of years, so the message history can become quite lengthy. To complicate matters, the actual new message box is at the bottom of this long list of history, so you have to scroll all the way down to even send the message after reviewing the history.
