Description

I have some calculated grades in my gradebook to scale tests and to computer the categories for quarter grades. When I view them as a teacher they show up for me (pic 1) but when a student logs in they do not see them (pic 2). I tried to briefly make this students a teacher and as a teacher this student could see the calcuated grade, but not when they have the student role. I don't know if this is a permission issues or what, but I couldn't find a permission that said view calculated grades.

The 1st quarter grade is actually a simple weighted mean of grades no a calculation (pic 3).

Any ideas, my students are becoming increasingly frustrated.

I suppose this might be caused by including hidden grade in formula. Could you try to unhide that hidden item?

That seems to have fixed the issue, but it seems like it shouldn't stop the whole category for computing if one calculated score is missing.

Unfortunately the hiding is a known problem in 1.9.x - it was discovered after the database freeze in 1.9dev that is why we could not find a better solution, we are going to improve it in 2.0
