Completely untested - but creating a bug to investigate.

I've come across forum posts in the future. I am wondering if this could be caused by time problems on a moodle server which is then backed up and restored into another moodle.

In this case I think we should consider what the restore process should do..

Possibly linked to the fact that if one creates a new course with user data e.g. forum posts and sets a course start date later than that of the ceding course future dated posts are created.

The relationship between the course offset and course start which effects forum dates happens when you restore from the course site files. Restoring from site files doesn't have this problem.

Hi, just found MDL-17469 some minutes ago and detected if was affecting rolling behaviour, by causing it to happen based in he course where the backup file is stored instead of the target course info. So I've reverted that bug. Can you confirm that the "strange" rolling here isn't happening?
