Unable to edit profile on networked site

Description

When logged into dev.moodle.org from moodle.org, it's not possible to edit one's profile.

Furthermore, profile settings from moodle.org such as forum tracking are not respected on dev.moodle.org.

Furthermore, forum emails don't seem to be making their way to me - but assignment mails are. Wonder if this is related.

Also, dates and times on dev.moodle.org don't seem to be respecting the timezone I've set in my profile on moodle.org

I don't think there should be a way to edit the profile on the remote host, because it'll just get overwritten next time you log in.

There should however, be a way to helpfully guide the user to their IDP to edit their profile if they want to

and also extra profile settings should definitely come across.

can you guys try this patch? It sends over more fields.

The editing profile stuff seems to have been fixed more recently though - I get a link back to my IDP to edit my profile there.

We have detected that this issue has been inactive for over a year has been recorded as affecting versions that are no longer supported.

If you believe that this issue is still relevant to current versions (2.1 and beyond), please comment on the issue. Issues left inactive for a further month will be closed.
