Description

Hi,

I'm not able to create a Database Activity with an Available or Viewable from or to-Date... It doesn't matters if Available and/or Viewable is active - Students can always post new entries...

I took a quick look and did not see in the code where the available and viewable times are used at all. There does not appear to be any checking that the availability date has passed. Perhaps I am overlooking something. Peace - Anthony

It seems from comments in MDLQA-171 that Available from/to and Viewable from/to dates are working as expected in Moodle 2.0.

Can anyone confirm whether this is still an issue in Moodle 1.9.9.

Just to be clear the only work that has to be done is to implement this behaviour in 1.9.X Is that correct?
If that is correct I'll unlink this from MDLQA-171 as if this is a 1.9 only task it isn't associated with the 2.0 testing.

Andrew: I confirm that this bug is present in 1.9.9, but not in 2.0 Moodle 2.0 Preview 4+ (Build: 20100805). Unlinking issue from MDLQA-171.

Dennis - The issue has been fixed in Moodle 2.0. Looking at MDL-23488 it appears that a fix was pushed in for 1.9.11 so it should be working. Your best bet is to comment on MDL-23488 and indicate that you are still having the problem. Peace - Anthony
