[Patch] Use PNG as default image format for latex render

Description

While working on a project for Federal University of Santa Catarina (http://moodle.ufsc.br), some users while working with latex reported they got poor quality on images rendered by mimetex.

As discussed here (http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=101791) and here (http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=120418), i have changed the default image type to PNG.

A patch is attached that do this job.
