Subcategory set to "Simple weighted mean of grades"
Grade item contained in subcategory set to extra credit
Once a grade is input for a student in the grade item, grade category max is multiplied by 10, category total for student is multiplied by 10 and course category total is sent way out of whack.
Unsetting grade item from being extra credit or unsetting Unlimited grades puts grades back to correct

Bob, I can't replicate that with your instructions.

Could you be 100% accurate and tell me exactly what your setup is? I want to know exactly the settings of your main grade category, your subcategory and any grade items you have setup. I also need to know what grade you put into the grade item.

A screenshot would not go amiss, either

Thanks!

I have attempted to duplicate this problem with a build of 20090729 and cannot.

Bob, thanks for your testing and feedback. I'm going to resolve this issue as 'Cannot Reproduce' then close it in two weeks time if no further reports of the problem are received.

The build # mentioned above is actually incorrect, we are on a newer one but I'm not sure of the #. I have screenshots to add but the interface was not working for me so I will try from home.

Yes, actually I saw this happen again last week but haven't been able to put the time to tracking down the exact sequence of steps required to make it occur. Will be spending quite a bit of time with the gradebook next week which will hopefully allow for more diagnostics. We're on 20090729.
