 Description  « Hide
I am using moodle 1.9.5+ (Build: 20090527) on linux server at http://www.ycmou.com/lms/.

I have added "Display a Directory" from "Add a Resources" option and uploading PDF files for download from that directory.

But, after download, every PDF file is corrupted and I am getting following error message when tried to open downloaded PDF file in 'Document Viewer" on Ubuntu 9.04 fresh installed OS:

Unable to Open Document
File type plain text document (text/plain) is not supported

Each of the PDF files, which I have uploaded are perfectly opening on my system before uploading. Only after uploading PDF files are corrupted.

I did not change PDF file extension.

All files were uploaded as it is without any modification and after due verification for correct working.

Same PDF files on my computer system are still working correctly as expected.

I uploaded files using ftp to the respective folders directly. I did not use Moodle upload feature to upload files.

Just now, when i attempt to upload few files using Moodle upload feature, it works.

Why PDF files uploaded by ftp are corrupted?

But many of the PDF files are more than normal server limit, that is 2 MB. Now, can any one guide how to upload larger PDF files in these directories.

Can any one help me?
