Description

Students can't view their own outcomes results in 1.9.5. This was available to students in 1.9.4.
This is a major issue for all those who use outcomes as their primary form of assessment (as in many criterion based courses in Australia and New Zealand)

I have set up a test site at http://www.mrclearn.com (Username "sandpit" Password "sandpit". Coursename also is "sandpit"). I also set up three outcomes for the test assignment here but as you will be able to see when gradebook is opened in student view, the outcomes are not visible.

To date, no other user to my knowledge, has reported that they are able to use outcomes in 1.9.5 ( please see http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=126306 and http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=126235 )

Thanks in advance for your attention to this matter
Cheers
Steve

Thanks Nicolas - I'm assuming I'll need to do a fresh install to pick it up? (They are still not visible with my current install)
Cheers

on your test site I can't login as admin or teacher, so I can't see what's wrong with your outcome items. Please check if they are hidden, or email me some teacher/admin credentials at nicolasconnault@gmail.com.

Thanks.

Steve, thanks for reporting this issue, and Nixolas, thanks for fixing it.

The fix will be included in the next 1.9.5+ weekly build available for download tomorrow.

Howdy, all. Some questions:

  • What was/is/are the affected and/or patched files that fixed this issue?
  • What is the minimum amount of patching required to fix this issue on a Moodle 1.9.5+ site?

I am trying to fix this for a client, but due to our code management requirements, waiting for core updates (internally waiting, not waiting for Moodle.org) is taking a while. I want to be able to apply a patch to fix just this issue, without concern that upgrading the gradebook code in its entirety may affect the codebase adversely.

Thanks!
