Description

It's possible to add several lists of courses to the front page, among them are "List of courses," "List of categories," and "Combo list." These are all useful, but both "List of categories" and "Combo list" are titled "Course categories."

Why it matters

Screen reader users often navigate by page header, and it's impossible to tell from the headers which list they need. This is a non-issue for sighted users, who will focus on the content.

Possible solution

Create a better heading for the combo list.

Hi Rosie,

My recommendation would be to use the same string for the combo list as for the list of courses i.e. "Available courses" (or even simplify the string to just "Courses").

I don't think it's necessary to have a title explaining that courses are arranged in categories. The combo list provides a list of courses and so it can be named as such.

I may be misunderstanding the issue but doesn't this mean that you still have the same string for two different layouts (just alternative ones)?

So wouldn't a new string be the best option. Plus, "Combo list" doesn't fit with the proposed solution of "Courses".

Hi Ray,

Thank you for reviewing the tracker.

Currently the 3 different layouts have different strings.
list of courses -> 'Available courses'
list of categories -> 'Course categories'
combo list -> 'Courses'

The attach image, represent the layout for each list.

In order to make it clearer to other user, what is the best string to use? any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rosie
