Testing Instructions:

Hide

1) Create two Moodle courses.
2) Create a meta link enrolment between the two courses.
3) Manually enrol a student into the child course
4) Check that the student has been enrolled in the parent course through the meta link
5) Suspend the student's enrolment in the child course
6) Log in as the student. They will still have access to the parent courses. They will also receive emails/messages from the course.

Description

Our institution uses meta-linked courses as general information areas for programmes and faculties. We have integrated our student management system with Moodle so that withdrawn students have their enrolment suspended in their Moodle courses.

However, even if students are suspended in all of the child courses, they still appear in the parent courses. They also receive messages from the course.

We are getting complaints from students who are receiving emails from programmes they should no longer be enrolled in. I believe that if students have their enrolment suspended from all child courses, they should be suspended from the parent course also.

Hello, this should be already fixed in 2.3dev branch, please test it and comment here or in the original issue if you find any remaining problems there. Thanks for the report.
