Description

A student told me that his calendar wasn't working. When he logged in events were as they should be and pop-ups properly displayed. A while later (when I looked) there were no events on the calendar on the calendar block. AND clicking on the month and getting that view still showed no events on his calendar. He logged out and back in and everything was as it should be.

OK, we are running 1.5.4+ and 1.8.2 in parallel and a couple of faculty complained about this issue (for our 1.5.4+ installation) as well. I think this is a critical issue but it's very difficult to reproduce. So far we did couple of tests and noticed that after some events that we created 16 days ago suddenly got disappeared (the mdl_event "visible" flag was changed from 1 to 0 for some reason). I have started to look at this issue but would like to involve Martin and Yu's help as much as possible. Does anyone know which function call that possibly would have trigger this (to change the visible flag from 1 to 0)?? Also, we suspect that this calendar event disappearing issue probably also exist in 1.7.x, 1.8.x and 1.9 beta for now.

By the way, this bug probably is a duplicate of MDL-9772

Let me spend some more time to really test this, I think this might have been resolved in MDL-10353 and the case we had might be related to the calendar preference settings... stay tuned...
