This is a feature request to be able to add activities/resources (I know resources could be added with an html block) to a block in a course--similar to the Main Menu block on the front page. I will assume it might mean some major coding changes (to several pages) since the only way I could do this myself was to copy the main menu block and hack it to add activities to section 100 of a course (with some tips from PJ). http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=28918 This is obviously not really the best way to go. But now that I have it, I have realized how really handy it is.

Thanks for considering this.

I agree that it would be extremely useful to have a Main Menu block available on course pages (other than the front page course). It would accomplish what MDL-4782 is asking for.

I think this has now been implemented by the navigation 2.0 stuff: MDL-12212
