Description
This could be considered the student counterpart of MDL-5073. It is something one of my students just asked about. How do students know when all their essays have been graded? We need some sort of notification mechanism, either a way of tagging it similar to what I suggested for 5073, or an email sent to the student automatically. However, if my suggested fix in MDL-4764 that I made on April 4 were implemented, this may be irrelevant.

From Gustav Delius (gwd2 at york.ac.uk) Friday, 7 April 2006, 07:54 PM:
Currently the advice would be that the teacher would post in the news forum when they have finished grading a quiz.

But if the course is one with rolling enrollments, that won't work, because students will complete the quiz at different times.

I think the best way to realize this would be as an assignment type plugin because the assignment module is already equipped for sending out student alerts when their submission has been graded.
