Description
I am looking for a whispering feature in the chat module, like in PHPMyChat (http://www.phpheaven.net/phpmychat:home?id_rubrique=29).
The idea is to encourage the more reluctant students during a chat session without exposing them in front of the whole group.
I know of the possibility to use Moodle's built-in messaging system but I find this not to be the best solution, because sometimes it takes quite a lot of time until the message reaches its recipient – and in the meantime the discussion of the chat group progressed further.
The other reason I would like to avoid the messaging system is that the students have to change their focus of attention from the chat window to the messaging window which they might close before they read it as you would do with all those annoying ad popups.
