Hi,

This is correct, like the mymoodle page (example.edu/moodle/my), it is a feature.

Is this a problem?

Yu

Had not realised, I have my moodle disabled to avoid users seeing this sort of thing. Thanks for the correction

I'm not sure I follow the thread of comments above, so could some-one clarify for me please? I'm seeing the "turn editing on" button on blogs (called learning journals) on http://openlearn.open.ac.uk

If they edit it, is it for every-one, or just themselves like myMoodle?

Even if it is just for themselves, I'm not comfortable with some of the options being available to users (like "admin bookmarks").

Also, I've had feedback from our testers here that it was confusing, as the button is bigger than the "add a new entry" link, and they clicked it thinking they could edit their blog that way

Any advice gratefully received!

I don't understand why this was closed. This isn't necessarily a feature. I do not want to permit students to "Turn Editing On" on the blog page and add blocks. At least I want to control it (as one can apparently do with My Moodle).

Thanks... Brian
