One of the time strings in the US language pack is not really very American. A suggested revision would be:



$string['strftimerecent'] = '%%I:%%M %%p,%%b %%d';



The most important change here is the elimination of the 24 hour clock. Except for the military, Americans rarely use the 24 hour clock and most people don't even know it at all.
