Please ugprade the priority on this bug. Almost all science books, and many other subjects come with examview test banks. This means that all books released this year have versions of examview that are incompatible with moodle. I have over 50 teachers at my school who can no longer import quiz questions. Thanks

The specific problem appears to be with text in italics and aphostrophes. When I remove the italic attribute and the aphostrophes the import gets further. Could this have something to do with UTF 8 encoding?

The Examview XML has been discontinued by the examview program. I can provide a sample of the formats that now exist as an export option, but there is no longer an XML export in Examview 5.1. Let me know and I will post you some samples, or provide you with examview itself to experiment with.

The sensible way forward is probably for me to get hold of a copy of Examview and take a look. I take it that it still supports Blackboard format as I'm less than keen on developing yet another format. I'm certainly happy to keep up support in some fashion though as Examview does seem popular.

Our district is new to Moodle so I apologize in advance if this posting is not the right way to get my answer.

We have installed Moodle version 1.8 and we are looking at purchasing Examview Pro. I cannot tell by this thread if this "bug" was fixed in version 1.7.1 or if there is still a compatibility issue with Moodle and Examview Pro. Before our district invests, we'd like to know if we can import an Examview Pro test into Moodle. Thanks!

If using Examview 5, you have the option to export in "WebCT CE 3.X" format. This should work.
