Hi Martin,

If you open http://mydomain/grade/index.php?id=xy you find the teachers and the students in the list with the points.
If there are only teacher in the course they are all listed in this table.

Teacher are giving points for students and not for teachers. Its an disorientation.
Why is it changed? In 1.6 you can see only students in the list. Silly question: the role system changes this. Is it possible to an option for the gradebook show/don't show?

To reproduce this issue:

Create a course, add a graded activity.
Assign a student, assign a teacher.
View gradebook.

Student, teacher, and site admins are shown in the grade listing.

Hi,

There is now a config settings for this in admin->appearance->graderoles. Any users with any of these roles checked will be displayed in the grade book. This is default only to student roles, so any sites that upgrades to 1.7 will see what they used to see, only students in gradebook.

Yu - I'm trying to close this one, but I'm getting the default in admin->appearance->graderoles set to Administrator - not student. This is confirmed in this forum post (http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=57785). Can you let me know what I've done wrong .

Hi Ken,

You are right, the default grade book role was not set correctly when you upgrade from 1.6. I have just comitted a fix for that. Thanks for letting us know!

Confirmed in testing: Appearance -> Gradebook -> gradedroles = Student as default. Thanks Yu. Now closed.
