Description
If the option "Show the course blocks" is turned on for a text page, only the description is shown when trying to display the page (this holds true for both the teacher and the student).
The "Update this resource" button is not displayed if the page is viewed by the teacher, and trying to turn editing on or off by clicking the link in the Administration menu gives the "Course Module ID was incorrect" error.

I created issue 8423, attaching a patch to fix the problem of only the "summary" displaying. Subsequently discovered this issue (6684), which predates it but is the same.
