Description

This suggestion is slightly related to http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-7817

I wonder if it would be possible to include a "word count" or "character count" for all blogs written by a given student. This would be especially useful information for second language teachers. Perhaps, it would also be useful for other teachers.

It is now possible for teachers to easily read just one student's blogs.
(/blog/index.php?userid=5334)

It would also be great if a teacher could quickly see about how much a student has written.
This could be done by a character count or in languages that allow it, a word count.

This could be done at the top of each student's blog page (/blog/index.php?userid=5334).

EXAMPLE: (Just under the "Add a new entry" link that is centered at the top of the page, have something like the following.)

Total Words in Blogs = 3,469

And/or perhaps this number could be included on a list like the "Participants" list (/user/index.php?id=5), maybe even making it possible to sort either by the students' names or by the number of words, in a way similar to the way that the "Participants" list allows you to sort by "Last access."

EXAMPLE: (The following would be 3 columns: First Name, Last Name, Word Count)

NAME - (Words)

John Smith (34,003)
Jane White (13,345)
Joe Winters (11,36)
Bill Jackson (9,115)
Sue Johnson (989)
