Fresh 1.6.3+ installation. No problems reported during installation; however, 11 strings are missing on the page for editing the external database enrollment plugin, for example [[field_mapping]].

This was fixed by ~~MDL-8542~~

It seems that ~~MDL-8542~~ fixed this for Moodle 1.8 not 1.6.
