Description
What I would like is a button when editing topics in a course that I can use to duplicate the content of a topic as a new topic in the same course. Let us call it a DuplicateThisTopic button which could easily sit with existing edit, delete, hide, etc.... topic buttons in the editable view mode.
Obviously astute users can adeptly use backup/restore to achieve the same affect, but that is quite a bit to think about still more to do for average non-tech Moodle users.
Come on Team Moodle, this has to be a good one. What about it...?

JE Chappell
I have seen people request the ability to duplicate a topic in ANOTHER course. Perhaps the code is similar? I would like to see that. And I could see setting up a "template" topic and duplicating it within a course. This is related to the issue of duplicating activities, labels, resources (except those are individual items rather than a set) that we have been discussing for some time (since 1.4, I think!)
Solving the duplication issue, in all its forms, would be very helpful for teachers creating course content.
See http://moodle.org/mod/forum/post.php?reply=472453 for a recent post requesting the option of importing a topic into a different course.
