The reason is that ppl are confused where to define capabilities that are applicable only in the system context such as create blog entries, manage own calendar (and change own password that is going to be added soon).

Hi Petr,

Just testing this improvement and noticed that it's not possible to delete the Authenticated user role (neither the Student or Guest roles) whereas it is possible to delete the Admin, Course creator, teacher and non-editing teacher roles. Is this intentional? Isn't it better if no predefined roles can be deleted, only new roles?

Petr Skoda added a comment - 06/Mar/07 05:46 AM
hi, yes intentional - only the roles that are used as defaults for guest, not-logged-in and authenticated default roles are protected (==can not be deleted).

Feel free to propose any similar improvements
