 Description  « Hide
Every student has their own wiki which only they and their teacher can view and edit. These are used as student "virtual notebooks." When a class of students try to access their wikis, they get error messages that someone else is editing the wiki, and if they do get into their wikis, they lose their data when they try to save (another error message). This makes it impossible to use this extremely valuable feature -the virtual notebook is brilliant, and if operational much faster than down and uploading Word documents!

I'm getting the same error. To me this is a very important issue to resolve.

Martin Anderson added a comment - 27/Feb/07 10:13 PM
In our environment we get the same problem with Separate Groups, in that if someone is editing a Wiki, then no one else can edit a Wiki, even if they are in another group. Even teachers get this error when trying to edit any of the group Wikis.

This is a big issue for me too. This is one of the most basic features of Moodle, it should work!

Sam, can you look at this? (...since you added this feature )

MDL-8227 seems to indicate this bug was fixed but reports indicate otherwise.

Looks like Sam's fixed it. Thanks!

Can the people watching this bug test it please? (try the latest 1.8+)

Martin Dougiamas added a comment - 22/May/07 05:46 PM
or 1.7.2+

Yes, I didn't change anything in 1.8+. When I tested in 1.8+ it appeared to work correctly already. What I did was check in the existing 1.8 fix into 1.7+ as well, where it didn't work before, but appears to work now.

If anyone can reproduce it not working in current 1.7 stable or 1.8 stable please let me know along with the precise sequence of steps to reproduce it (starting from a new wiki). I cannot reproduce a problem in 1.8 so I need exact steps if I'm to fix anything.

I'm assuming this works then

added "non specific relationship". This might be the example Sam was asking for ?
