Powerpoint slides appear to work fine using the Open method.

Have now tested on IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519CO

Perhaps this is down to Microsoft Word.

I am using Microsoft Word 2003 (11.8125.8122) SP2

However again this does work happily in Firefox...

We've now moved over to 1.8+ and this issue STILL resides.

Can someone spend some time helping on this one please it's been two months since I originally reported the issue.

The new server is available at http://moodle-greg.lboro.ac.uk

Martin,

We have since resolved this issue on our network.

In Word 2003 there is a setting in Tools -> Options -> General Tab.

In this tab there is an option called 'Allow background open of web pages' - make sure this is unticked!

This was not a moodle issue apologies.

We are having the same issue with some Powerpoint files using Powerpoint 2007. Don't suppose anyone knows of a similar setting?
