Description

We show 1024 x 768 Flash videos by calling an html page as a resource. In the add resource dialogue the settings for default window size seem to have no effect on what is displayed. The windows always have to be resized.

this has always worked correctly in 1.5, 1.6, 1.7

Actually, don't delete.

In previous versions the order of the 2 sizes was width x height. The change to height x width is what screwed us up and I bet I'm not alone in thinking moodle should follow the width x height standard.

I've got the same issue with my Moodle 1.8 version.
I wanted to play an HTM file with embedded SWF in a vanilla window with no toolbars and no resizing or scrolling. So I chose New Window and unticked all of the options before setting the window sizes to 1014x702, which was the size I wanted.
I found that having no boxes ticked meant that the window size settings had no effect and the window inherited the width setting from the parent window. However, if I ticked the resizing option then the window sizes worked, although this now meant that I couldn't prevent the user from resizing the window.

One more thing I just thought of.
There are no options on the page where you set up the window sizes to determine where on the page the window opens. I.E the X and Y coordinates.
This might be a welcome addition to the available settings.
Not a bug, I know, but a feature enhancement.

I have verified the new mod/resource and mod/url, they both use the correct order now.
Thank you for the report.
