Missing group symbols on course page

Description

After update of my 1.8 test installation I don't see group symbols on most of the activities. Activities with group symbols don't show the symbol after changing the group setting s on setting page to group mode.

I tested this again with the actual 1.8 beta from today.

I saw today that the groups symbol appears for a short time and disapperas then.

I made an other test. The problem relates to the AJAX setting sin personal profile. After disabling the Ajax Setting the pics are shown correct.

1.8 is not maintained any more, please upgrade to 1.9 at least, thanks for the report.
