Adding user and receiving Incorrect sesskey submitted . Form not accepted

Description

We have just completed a new, fresh install of Moodle 1.8.
After all config setup, went to homepage and selected create login account.
Filled in all information and on receive the error message on signup.php Incorrect sesskey submitted. Form not accepted.

How to continue?debug?

This is strange. Did you have only one browser windos during signup?
This error would be shown if you logged in/out during the editing of signup form.

I can not reproduce it, I believe if there was a problem in code, it would be already reported several times, because the library is shared by all new forms.

I'm having this same problem. I'm at a University accessing Internet away from my server and trying to log in..... I cannot create a new account or log in as admin. All I get is "Incorrect sesskey submitted, form not accepted!

Have identified in MDL-9683 that this can be reproduced by having an invalid sessioncookiepath value set in mdl_config. If you are installing to a subdirectory of your webserver, an invalid sessioncookiepath value will cause this error.
