Description

Currently you users can only signup using the email-based authentication plugin. The proposed patch allows the LDAP authentication plugin to be used, and it specifically adds support to enable user creation in MS Active Directory.

It's being used in production in at least a couple of production sites (see http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=57378#p314361).

As part of this patch is in fact what MDL-9575 tries to fix, I'm attaching a new patch with just the AD user creation part.
